The Story Of Domaine Aegerter

With humble, recent beginnings, Domaine Aegerter was founded by Jean-Luc Aegerter in the late 1980s after he bought the trading house Gruber and a few hectares of vineyards. It wasn’t long before he opened some shops opened in 1991 and 1992. A mere four years later in 2001, Jean-Luc’s son, Paul, joined him. With experience in marketing and an impressive background in setting up companies, Paul sought to make Burgundy wines more accessible in both price and taste.

Thus, Aegerter is proud to vinify about 50 hectares from forty appellations between Chablis and Macon, thanks to leased land, on top of 10 hectares it calls its own. Today, Domaine Aegerter upholds its legacy of producing wines that truly reflect their terroir of origin while remaining accessible to the average consumer.
