Domaine Du Pere Caboche
Chateauneuf-du-Pape
From Steel To Soil - The History of Domaine Du Pere Caboche
Originally a family of blacksmiths and winemakers, the Boisson family, nicknamed “Caboche” after the nails used to fix the shoes under horses’ feet, began producing Domaine Du Pere Caboche. Since the marriage of Jean-Louis Boisson to Elisabeth Chambellan in 1777, the family has passionately cultivated vines throughout Chateauneuf-Du-Pape, with the oldest parcel being planted in 1906.
To this day, the family-run estate remains the fruit of generations of winegrowers passionate about their profession as well as the environment. Wines produced here are held to high standards of tradition and terroir, reflecting the work and values of the Boisson family winemakers.
