Domaines Bunan - Three Terroirs, One Entity

The story begins with Félix and Lucie. They passed on their passion for wine to their children, Paul and Pierre. Today, Françoise, Claire, Laurent, and Philippe—work together, combining their skills while respecting family tradition to pass on a deeply rooted legacy in authenticity. Their motto: to create emotion and share their love of the land.

In 1954, Paul Bunan, living in Oran, first heard about Bandol in a newspaper. Seven years later in 1961, the two brothers, Paul and Pierre, laid the foundations for Domaines Bunan in La Cadière d'Azur, creating the Moulin des Costes terroir. It was love at first sight with the Bandol region and its prestigious appellation. In 1969, Pierre Bunan bought Château la Rouvière in Le Castellet, a small south-facing plot whose old Mourvèdre vines overlook the sea. Finally, in 1978, the two brothers reconstituted the Bélouvé vineyard, formerly owned by monks, to create a Côte de Provence appellation wine. Together, these three distinct terroirs (Moulin des Costes, Château la Rouvière, and Bélouvé) formed a single entity: Domaines Bunan.
